cameron highlands
ok, just got back from the most frekking-ly long trip from cameron highlands. it was hell. 9 and a half hours on a bus with the bus singing the 'hakuna matata'. yup. The first day was cool, besides the fact that the sun went down a few hours early leaving us blinded in the night making our tents. Maggi mee never tasted so good that night. The second day was when the going got tough. Taking the route we were meant to take, took us maybe 2 hours. then, out expert took us 'around' town where a few of us ate scones and had a nice coupa tea. We then headed back to our home away from home. After the hike, i needed a shower and where else to go but the river. only thing was, the river was 2 degrees. i din care cause i was smelly at that moment. i just jumped in. in don't care. for dinner me and gen managed to eat 7 helpings of spagehtti and that impressed mr.reeves. score. The third day was when the goin got even more tougher. We headed off for route 11 on the trail only to be halled back when the route stopped in the middle of nowhere. Hours were passing by and 'the ramely projecte' had to think of something. along with the year 12's we managed to get ourselves to a power station in the middle of nowhere. there was when the fun began. holding our heads up high we approached 4 8 year olds fishing in a small, dirty pond. With our native 'ronald' we manged to communicate with them and lead us to their orang asli village. This required much skill as they took us up drainage, through rough terrain and since our weak asses couldn't carry our heavy bags on our back, these 8 year olds even carried some load of our backs. THOSE FUCKING 8 YEAR OLDS CARRIED STUFF FOR ME. god bless the orang asli's. it was all worth it. we finally reached the top of the orang alsi and the view was breathtaking. the weather was perfect but there was still one problem, no handphone signal. but like a car needs fuel, we needed water. scurrying down to the local kedai we bought hand loads of water and paid the small 8 yar old 'machines'. We still had a long way to go and on the long way, i found a snake skin lying on the roadside, and being the dumbass i am. i picked it up and carried on walking. we ere meant to be at the pick up point at 12pm but it was now 1pm. shit. We then ran and finally reached our destination. Laying back for another 1 hour our bus finally arrived and we the all awaited trip back home was on everybody's mind. On the bus, we watched vats and dogs, charlie's angels and lion king 1 1/2 (???). they were pretty fun and thats when the singing started. The bus then got overheated and hell was creeping through. It overheated twice, and once the bus just stopped so. We finally made it back to home soil and i came back home to take a nice long bath. ahhhhh
